One Copy Rule to Rule Them All

By Marisa Murgatroyd

You don’t need magic to write good copy…although you might feel like you do!

And it’s so confusing with so many copy rules and “dos” and don’ts.”

But I’m going to make things easy. I’m giving you the ONE copy rule that rules them all. Break this, and the other rules don’t work.

Here it is:

If you wouldn’t say it, PLEASE don’t write it!

You wouldn’t say: Please revert.

You WOULD say: Hope to hear back from you!

You wouldn’t say: I need you to provide your opinion

You WOULD say: I’d love to know what you think

The BIG secret behind great copy is it’s conversational AND it gets your message across.

So, if you’re struggling to write for your business, you’re trying way too hard. Write like you speak and the words will flow.

Now find a couple of lines of copy you wrote for your business. Can you make it more conversational? Share in the comments!

And be sure to like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube channel so you never miss an episode of Live Your Message Daily.

If you know someone who’ll enjoy this, hit the share button. Pass it on. Share the love.
