Rock-Solid Commitment (Part 1)

“How strong is your commitment?”

It’s not a question we ask ourselves a lot…

But… it’s on my mind today.

I just finished a 19-day no-salt, no-sugar, no-meat, no-dairy cleanse and I’m preparing my first “normal meal” in weeks.

Yep. Nothing tasty for 19 days. :-))))

19 days of raw food, juice and salad.

We went on a business trip. And I stuck to my cleanse. (Not too hard considering airport food)

We were out to eat with friends in Oakland, and they tried again and again to tempt me away from my juice, but for some reason I just wasn’t interested.

My evil friends Bill Baren, Murray Gray, Lee Ann Price and Patrick Dominguez trying to tempt me with their tasty tasty food…

19 days of the same meal, and somehow I stuck to it…

If my commitment had wavered for just a moment, I would have been toast.

But it didn’t.

Why?

Finishing my cleanse was more important to me than the social triggers of eating out or any of the other temptations put in front of me.

That got me thinking…. could I create a similar, unwavering commitment to my business?

What does it actually take to make a rock solid commitment to your business and actually stick to it no matter what?

So… no matter what was going on in my life, my health, my family, the economy, or the world… I’d be able to stick to the vision of what I wanted my business to look like?

How could I do that?

I’m putting together an exciting article containing what I’ve learned recently about commitment and I’m going to be sending that out in a blog… so stay tuned!

In the meantime… if you have lessons to share, I’d love to hear them. Could you do me a favor and let us know?
