There’s a series of success habits that I rely on to get me in the zone. These habits allow me to be in flow so I can create and produce at the highest level.
But when I was on vacation in Australia recently, all my success habits went out the window and my productivity went down to nothing!
I’m curious about your success habits…
What do you watch and listen to on a daily basis? Are you watching crappy TV or are you watching programs or listening to podcasts that support your success and motivate you on a daily basis to get what you want in life?
Who are the people you’re associating with? Do you spend time with people who drain your energy or people who uplift and inspire you to reach greater heights?
How about your self-talk? Are you telling yourself negative or positive stories on a day to day basis?
And what about your beliefs? What are the beliefs you’ve adopted from other people and the ones that you call your own? Are they supportive beliefs that allow you to fully express who you are and achieve your highest potential?
Or are they beliefs that hold you back? Beliefs like: I’m not enough. This isn’t going to happen. This isn’t possible. I’m too broke. I’m too young. I’m too old.
Habit is a very powerful thing. Whether it’s the actions you take or whether it’s your habitual forms of thinking and feeling, beliefs and ideation… all of those things define your life today.
The sum total of those habits compound on a daily basis to create the life you have right now.
Bestselling author, Darren Hardy says the compound effect happens when you extrapolate what you do every single day, over a month… a year… a lifetime.
Think about it – you may be spending years of your life watching guilty pleasure TV.
Now, I’m okay with with guilty pleasure TV – I’ve got my favorite shows too (right now it’s The Walking Dead and Handmaid’s Tale 🙂)
But if watching crappy TV is what you do every single day – every single night before you sleep – what’s that doing over the long term? Is it fueling you for more success?
Here’s the thing…
The Power of Habit is REAL.
It can propel you to the life you want to live or it can drag you way down, so it feels like you’ve got an anchor tied to your feet.
You’ll start to feel like you can never…
Become more.
Realize more.
Do more.
Be more.
Have more.
I know you’re the kind of person who wants more but the really interesting thing is that more starts with just one small habit, one action, one belief, one emotion at a time.
So, here’s to paying attention to what you’re thinking, reading, watching, and listening to on a daily basis.
Here’s to paying attention to what you do because your daily habits – actions, routines, thoughts, and beliefs – create your reality.
These habits will compound into who you are 1 year from now, 3 years from now and 5 years from now.
As Bill Gates famously said:
“Most people wildly overestimate what they can accomplish in a year and underestimate what they can accomplish in 10…”
And that’s where the Power of Habit comes in. Live Your Message every day — one emotion, one belief, one action, and one habit at a time.
So, what are the daily habits that support your success? Take some time to think about that and share in the comments below.
Love it? Hate it? Let me know...

Daily rituals:
1. Meditation.
2, Prayer.
3. Gratitude Journal.
4. Self-healing practice (an adjustment, massage or remedy).
5. Exercise.
6. Lectivo Divina
7. 5 Tibetans-
Marcus, these are awesome habits! I love the self-healing and how you give yourself options based on what your body needs that day. I’m just curious…out of these habits do you have a favorite? Do you feel like you benefit from some more than others?

The TV in Australia can be good sometimes, much better in other countries. I know the problem. 🙂
I have been an entrepreneur my whole life and on an international basis, yes, also in Australia. But I got sick and the sickness has destroyed my body, I’m chronically ill and disabled. I didn’t think to let it stop me but it seems like I have no energy to do what I want to do. It is not lack of motivation (I have thrown out the TV) and I have a few things I want to do. It is more to get the energy to do things, I mean all things not only business things.
I have a powerful story about abuse against men and that it can harm you in ways you can only imagine. I know it would help a lot of people. But I never get things going. I have tried some other things too that are not related but it is the same. I can’t find the energy more than short moments. I know that my disabilities give me limitations but there are also so much I can do over the Internet. I have moved a lot and my life has changed constantly but a few things never change as they are a part of my personality. And I am a computer and internet geek, have been building websites 20+ years. I know how powerful habits can be and often it is best to replace an old habit with a new. It interesting what you say about habits but sometimes you need to get a break. I think I am in a long break right now. Hope to break the break soon, so to say.

Hi Tommy, first of all, thank you for sharing. Your passion and determination in spite of what you’ve been through is truly inspiring. And when it comes to the difficulty of getting and staying motivated, trust me, you are NOT alone. So many of my students, like you, have SO MUCH to share with the world, but struggle or don’t know how to get started. That’s why I created this new program called Start With You (here’s a link to more info if you’re curious: https://startwithyou.com/order/?ok). It’s designed to help you wrangle up everything you have to offer and neatly package it for your ideal client. If you’re ready to get out of your long break and see what it’s all about you can email liberty (at) liveyourmessage (dot) com. She’s awesome and can give you any additional information/guidance you need! Thank you again for sharing your story, xo

Hello Marisa, thanks for your reply. My limitations are also physical, among other things I have a disease, fibromyalgia. It is a painful disease and it limits very much what I can do with my body. I can walk but also sit in a wheelchair when I have to much pain. I never know how the next day will be so it is hard to plan things. But I don’t give up, I always find a way. Thank you for your message.

Your positive attitude is truly inspiring. Sending much love your way. xo

This year – after reading Own Your Day by Aubrey Marcus – I really started applying this teachings with a morning ritual of hydration, light, movement + cold / hot showers. Talk about jump starting your day. It was fun to read this today! Thanks for an inspiration!
